What I like about my work
I very much value the calibre of the legal projects on which I work. I have excellent colleagues and great clients.
What I’ve done in the past
I have lectured in Banking Law at the University of Otago and am a Winston Churchill Fellow. I am a consulting editor for Butterworths' Conveyancing Bulletin, and, until recently was an international editor for the Australian Banking and Finance Law and Practice Journal.
I have enjoyed involvement with the New Zealand Law Society having been a member of the NZLS Continuing Legal Education Committee and Business Law Committee. I have presented several seminars for the New Zealand Law Society on Banking Law, Guarantees, Plain Language, Conflicts of Interest and most recently the Credit Contracts and Consumer Finance Act, and have accredited publications and seminar and conference papers on banking and commercial law subjects.
My approach to working with my clients
I provide legal advice to a range of corporate, institutional and private clients.
What I enjoy outside of work
My interests outside work are family, friends, music and travel. I have a strong interest in music and, in recent years, been musical director for several shows at Dunedin's Fortune Theatre, and also been involved in shows for Dunedin Operatic.
