What I like about my work
I have the opportunity to work with great clients on varied and interesting property projects and transactions.
Each project and transaction is different and many are at the forefront of commercial property developments. This requires continual learning, development and working through creative solutions to solve issues.
Many of the projects I work on are within the region. This allows me to visit the site with the client to get a better understanding of their project at "ground level" and to see the project from start to finish.
What I’ve done in the past
I worked as a solicitor in the commercial property team of a large international law firm in Wellington. I then went on my OE and worked as an associate in the commercial property team for a magic circle law firm in London.
My approach to working with my clients
I work with my clients to add value to their transaction or project, to get the results they want and to make the process as straightforward as possible. This approach involves working closely with clients to consider any issues and to understand their goals from the outset.
What I enjoy at work
The varied and interesting work. I also work with colleagues who are experts in their chosen fields. This allows a team approach to servicing a client to get the best result.
What I enjoy outside of work
Adventuring into the great outdoors with family and friends.
What I enjoy about living in the South Island
The interesting work opportunities and proximity to the great outdoors.
I live within a short distance of great ski fields, challenging golf courses, clear calm lakes and many mountain bike and hiking tracks. I make the most of these great resources as often as possible.
