What I like about my work
As a resource management lawyer, the kind of work that I am involved in means that I turn greenfield sites into finished, fully functioning property developments. The feeling of creating something from scratch and seeing the project through to completion is very satisfying.
What I’ve done in the past
I started at Anderson Lloyd after leaving university and have never left! I became a partner in 1999.
My approach to working with my clients
I work with my clients to ascertain exactly what they want to achieve. I then map out a strategy to attain their goals in a cost and time efficient way. Together, we work through the strategy to reach their desired outcomes. I’m pretty single minded when it comes to the pursuit of my clients’ goals, but I am approachable and easy to work with.
What I enjoy at work
I like the fact that, at Anderson Lloyd, we are recognised as a specialist team and as a result are able to attract high quality leading edge work from a base in the South Island.
What I enjoy outside of work
I like to get away to the tranquillity of our crib in Central Otago with my husband and three children. I enjoy getting time to bike the rail trail and smell the thyme.
What I enjoy about living in the South Island
I like the fact that it doesn’t take long to get to the office! Being in Dunedin means that if I want to pop out to see my children in the school play, I’m not gone for half a day. The tranquillity of Central Otago is only 2 hours away and the range of activities that are on offer there are fantastic. I also like the fact that in Dunedin and Christchurch I can walk down the street and meet people I know.
