Media Release – Prominent Christchurch partner David Goodman joins Anderson Lloyd’s commercial team

Former Goodman Tavendale Reid partner David Goodman  has joined Anderson Lloyd Lawyers, as a partner in the Christchurch office.

Widely recognised as one of the South Island’s leading irrigation sector legal experts, David brings to Anderson Lloyd more than 25 years of expertise in the water, agribusiness, fisheries, construction, technology and health industries.

He also advises regularly in relation to mergers, acquisitions, joint ventures, insolvencies, corporate restructurings and commercial contracts.

“I am impressed by the culture and collegiality at Anderson Lloyd and excited by new opportunities in the water and infrastructure industries,” says David.

“A significant part of my practice is water and agribusiness, which dovetails well with Anderson Lloyd’s resource management expertise.”

After being admitted to the bar in 1988, David’s career has been based in Christchurch, Wellington and London. While in the United Kingdom he completed a Masters in Company and Commercial Law at the University of London.

David has extensive experience providing advice on general corporate matters including governance, director’s duties, shareholders disputes, Securities Act compliance, and banking and insolvency.

He is a member of the Institute of Directors and regularly presents seminars to industry groups on governance, company and commercial law.
